The Golden Rule

My Mission, You may have gathered that I am on a mission. My mission is to have The Golden Rule commonplace in the marketplace. For thousands of years the human race has tried all other options with little success. Maybe it is time to add The Golden Rule from Main Street and to Wall Street. Most all of us only know The Golden Rule as a pious principle. I have discovered when I transformed The Golden Rule from a religious rule to a pragmatic principle, it became the mort effective method to gene… Continue

Reflection

Beholding eyes see not the thoughts we entertain, rather the flesh in which our thoughts in solitude remain. Inscribe these thoughts atop blank pages, thus heart exposed down through ages.

A Glimpse of Time did not win

HI I just want to make a few updates. Several weeks ago i rec'd my manuscript "A Glimpse of Time" back from the LRon Hubbard, Writer's of the Future Contest. It did not win. I was surprise when they said in the letter that they look forward to my next entry. I am happy to say that i did manage to get one written and mailed to them before the Sept 30, 2008 deadline. It is Titled the Dragons of Myrrh. It is a sci-fi romance, featuring of course dragons. I will be enlarging the story to make it fit… Continue

Hello from Rhyanna

Well more good news. Another children's story, "Junior Dragoneers" was selected by www.childrencomefirst.com to be published on thier website. I am very grateful to them for giving me a chance to be published and that they like the stories i have written for them. I did hear back from Silhouette Nocturne, although they found my story "The Witch of His Dreams" appealing, they decided to pass. "I did send to Silhouette Nocturne, the second manuscript in the series "A Siren's Fire", in that query… Continue

Award Nomination for Glastonbury, Please cast a vote!

My forthcoming novel 'Glastonbury' has been nominated for The Authors Lounge Best Cover Illustration Award for August 2008. The beautifully haunting design for this book was created by Graeme S Houston and I personally think it is the finest piece of artwork he has ever created for a book. I hope my friends won't mind me asking to support my nomination by casting a vote for the book at http://www.talauthors.com/TAL/RomanceandMoreAwards.htm and I thank you all in advance for your continue… Continue

Advertising & Selling Option... Looking for Feedback.

I am considering starting to sell book shorts (just like Amazon does) from our network.

At the moment though, we would have an advantage since Amazon is not accepting submissions right now for any new shorts.

There is a fee for this service, I would be charged monthly for the right to sell books (or anything I like) from the right column of the site.

This could be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to sell their short stories for .50 each (again just like Amazon does) in a PDF format (which I can either do for you or you can provide to me pre-formatted for placement.

Advertising your book in this way could help land a publishing contract (by showing proof of sales & marketability of your book), help promote a larger version of your book or even a book series (make a good excerpt or even chapter one a short to entice readers into buying your book), help to bring in revenue for your book to put towards your goals (whether that is self-publishing, subsidy/co-op or promoting a book tour for your traditionally published book).

The possibilities seem endless.

Again I will use Amazon as an example, $.20 of the $.50 goes to the submitter (proof of copyright would need to be shown me if you are not the author before I can place it).

The remaining $.30 will go toward the PayPal percentage & the monthly fee that will be coming from my (WillowRaven's) pocket.

If advertised by you, the submitters, just like you would advertise anyway for your book... this could be ideal... ads that pay you rather than you paying for your ads.

Eventually we can get our own domain & no longer be considered a "ning", and we can pay for a larger bandwidth & more storage capacity.

So my question is, who would be interested?

Let me know in my page somehow...
