I like to make a child laugh. And if my stories do that, then so be it. I am a grandma with four grandchildren-two boys and two girls. That makes me over thirty-something! I live in Hawaii-Hooray! And I work between writings for Homeland Security-TSA. The weather has been wonderful and the oceans blue as ever. Wish you were here!
Thank you very much for the kind comments. I love children, I have a young child and I read to him every night. The children's stories are wonderful, and I've said to myself, "I can do this." At least try. God Bless

Hi Jeanette,
I joined SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) several years ago, and started reading lots of "how to" books on getting children's books published. It seems that a common mistake for writers is to assume that they need to submit illustrations with their manuscripts. From what I've learned, editors prefer to choose the illustrator themselves once they take on a manuscript. It's out of the author's hands. Of course, it's different for writer/illustrators of if you plan to self-publish. Hope this helps.
Best wishes to you!
