I agree Rosalee. Covers and blurbs and authors getting out there and putting themselves in front of the public hopefully will sell the books. Aidana is very good. She is just having a harder time illustrating this book since she has to research as much as I did only hers is a more visual research - she has to find the right pictures to use as "models" in order to come up with her renderings. I can't wait to see the finished product in hand. I'm thankful that Vivian was interested in picking up the pieces after they kind of fell flat. I'll be starting the second one soon - E :)
Hey Elysabeth, I love the cover but look who drew it...lol. Adiana is very good! I wish you luck with your new book. The cover should really draw people in and that is what counts in selling your book don't you think? Well a major part I think...
Thank you Aidana - I too have learned more than I ever did in school. I told you when you took me on - you would be very busy - lol. I hope you don't get tired of me by the end of this - E :)
Thanks Shelagh. All of the illustrations will be found inside the book (they all represent clues for the state - you have Sacajawea, the Appaloosa horse, and the eagle is representative of the Birds of Prey Wildlife area - I think it will appeal on several levels - E :)
I must say, this is turning out to be the most fun and the most challenging book I have illustrated yet. I think because it is geared to older kids and I suck at both Geography & History...lol. I am learning stuff I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED in grade school.
