Good News and I feel like a real author now

As of Saturday, my manuscript was sent to the printers. Barring any problems, Vivian should have a proof back in the next week and a half to two weeks and once the proof is approved, then its ordering time for Viv and another week to two waiting for the books to arrive. It seems like things are moving fast but in reality from the time the book was submitted to Vivian and by the time we get the book in hand, the process is just about three months in length. I submitted the edited version to Viv about the second week of May; then with all the illustrations needed (one per clue and there are 27 clues total, with a couple of extra drawings in there - for illustration's sake) and the layout to be done and the cover and all; submission to printers and waiting for final products to be in hands, you come up right about 3 months in time spent just prepping a manuscript (not including all the time to write, rewrite, revise, edit, and rewrite some more - lol).
So for those of you who wonder why it does take so long to get a book published from the time it is accepted by a publisher, now you know.

Yes, it will...never give up because everyone is unique and has their own style of writing. Someone will be touched by your work so lets keep writing authors and soon to be authors!!!!

Yes, that's the feeling - you are published. I know I've been bragging a lot about my book but this is a big series and I'm thankful for someone to have taken it on (Vivian and Aidana) - the real test comes when I am holding books in my hands - lol then I can sit there in the glory of being truly published -

Congrats Elysabeth, I know how excited you are. I remember the first time my manuscript got accepted , it was like.."Yes, I am finally an author". It takes a while to seep in because you feel like you are dreaming...but in reality you are a published authoer...YIPPIE

Ah-ha! You know the secret to getting a book pushed ahead of others - marketing plans and promotional work. Does it every time. Or at least most of the time.

lol - well the secret's out now - lol - 12 waiting and 4 have been submitted and almost in hand this month alone - so you are really jamming over there - getting so many books - you will have to close submissions soon - lol E :)

Ahhh, a bit well-deserved bragging.

And, yes, it does take time to prepare a book and have it ready for printing. Right now 4RV has over 12 books waiting their turns to be prepared.
