Do You Think My Client Will Like Her Surprise? The Adventures of Katie-Bear: Fun Days at School Teaser!

I wanted to give a to surprise to VK Sansone, the author of The Adventures of Katie-Bear children's book series with a little something to help boost her spirits.

There have been some delays with the printers that have dismayed her a bit, making it hard for this first time published author & makes her feel a little challenged at promoting her first book while still in pre-sales.

So I though a little preview would boost her spirits by giving her an additional peak at the inside illustrations (I don't think she has seen these yet). I also wanted to give her a neat little tool to place on all her web pages, new networking sites, & blogs, plus give you a better look at Katie-Bear than just her cover shot.

What do you all think so far as a promotional tool & surprise for Katie?

What a great promotional tool. You're talented and smart to put something so helpful together.

I'm sure the author will be surprised and glad.

That happened with me too Adiana and I still don't have my books yet but hopefully I will get them next week. The printer said the file was too big and it had to be sent back. My release date was Nov 19,2007. Still waiting... I have autographed my book from someone who has got one already though so I have seen it. After three months, I am ready to get mine too. That is a great idea though for her and I know how she feels. Happended during my pre-sales too...:-(

I had to join to make a comment but was worth it.

I think your client will be chuffed to bits and rightly so. You have done a great job.

I don't know how she could not like it. What a great way to introduce people to her books.

Advertising & Selling Option... Looking for Feedback.

I am considering starting to sell book shorts (just like Amazon does) from our network.

At the moment though, we would have an advantage since Amazon is not accepting submissions right now for any new shorts.

There is a fee for this service, I would be charged monthly for the right to sell books (or anything I like) from the right column of the site.

This could be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to sell their short stories for .50 each (again just like Amazon does) in a PDF format (which I can either do for you or you can provide to me pre-formatted for placement.

Advertising your book in this way could help land a publishing contract (by showing proof of sales & marketability of your book), help promote a larger version of your book or even a book series (make a good excerpt or even chapter one a short to entice readers into buying your book), help to bring in revenue for your book to put towards your goals (whether that is self-publishing, subsidy/co-op or promoting a book tour for your traditionally published book).

The possibilities seem endless.

Again I will use Amazon as an example, $.20 of the $.50 goes to the submitter (proof of copyright would need to be shown me if you are not the author before I can place it).

The remaining $.30 will go toward the PayPal percentage & the monthly fee that will be coming from my (WillowRaven's) pocket.

If advertised by you, the submitters, just like you would advertise anyway for your book... this could be ideal... ads that pay you rather than you paying for your ads.

Eventually we can get our own domain & no longer be considered a "ning", and we can pay for a larger bandwidth & more storage capacity.

So my question is, who would be interested?

Let me know in my page somehow...
